“From here and there and from my grandmother as well”

Tablecloths that tell stories, tablecloths that absorb words.
“From here and there and from my grandmother as well” brings us around the table to share the hopes and emotions of three generations.
They arise like this…
Stories of union and disagreements, of glances and smiles.
Consolidated loves in a romantic dinner.
Inheritance feuds and business contracts.
Footprints of the unsaid, family secrets.
Presences and absences.
Stories of sayings and feelings, tablecloths full of words, images, dreams and hopes.
The patina of time in the form of stains that today tell us about wonderful experiences, disappointments and also about failures.
The presence of photographs, documents, passports and letters help me compose and draw the pictures that are part of this series.

The work with gouges on wood symbolizes the table, the holder of a huge emotional load, where among other things, tears of joy and sadness were shed.

This work has no end. There are many tablecloths that await me and want me to tell their stories “From here and there and from my grandmother as well”.
